BLOG 13: POINT OF VIEW

After 4 years of war Abraham Lincoln looked back to the beginning of the American Civil War during his Second Inaugural Address on March 4, 1865 and said,

              "Both parties condemned war, but one of them would make war rather than
                let the nation survive, and the other would accept war rather than let it
                 perish, and the war came."



What did Lincoln mean?
