BLOG 17: PICKETT'S CHARGE

After reading the excerpt from the Killer Angels and watching part of the movie Gettysburg you know that General Robert E. Lee's last attempt to win the Battle of Gettysburg ended in failure for Lee and the Confederate Army of Northern Virgina.  However, you are fortunate to be able to look at the events over time and understand the end results.

Put yourself in Robert E. Lee's shoes and make a case as to why you believe his battle plan on the last day of Gettysburg would be successful. 

* Keep in mind that a few of Lee's Generals said his plan would not work.
